Does our video leave the site?
Video and AI processing can run locally on the appliance, keeping footage and real-time analysis on the premises. Connectivity is used to deliver remote notifications and, where you permit it, remote support.
Who can see what?
Users and roles control which cameras, alerts and reports each person can access, and actions on events are recorded, so there is an auditable trail of who did what.
What about biometric and privacy regulation?
Requirements vary by jurisdiction — several US states have specific biometric statutes, and notice or consent obligations may apply to staff. Keeping enrolled faces and clips on your own appliance helps, but you should confirm your obligations with counsel. The system is useful with recognition disabled, using areas, timing and person detection alone.
How are updates handled?
Improvements to detection and the console are applied to your appliance as part of the service arrangement, on a schedule you agree rather than pushed without notice.
